The hosting of the 2023 Asia Cup in Pakistan is the subject of a great dispute. India won't visit its neighbour, according to Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), while the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) isn't ready to give up the chance to host the regional competition. Despite conducting a meeting of the Asian Cricket Council on Saturday in Bahrain, the boards were unable to come to an agreement and will meet once more in March.
Salman Butt, a former Pakistan captain, appeared to be upset with the ACC and referred to the Asia Cup as "cup of tea" while cricket experts expressed their opinions on this matter. The PCB chairman, Najam Sethi, allegedly informed Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, that Pakistan wants to host the Asia Cup and that if the event is shifted, Pakistan won't send a side to the men's ODI World Cup in India.
