Cricket Australia to decide whether to let the top player play in IPL

After the Board of Control for Cricket in India released a statement that the Indian Premier League would resume in September and continue in the United Arab Emirates now Australia is in a dilemma whether to allow their top cricketers to return with World Cup set to take place in October. Because of an escalation of cases in Ahmedabad and Delhi many players and staff members tested positive including Australian coach Mike Hussey. As many as 40 Australian cricketers and related staff were quarantined because of IPL.

Australians have a tour set up with the Caribbean from late June as well as a Test against Afghanistan and an Ashes series on the calendar. Cummins has already refused to return to IPL this season. They also have a tour of Bangladesh in August to plan for.
