CSK beats RCB by six wickets to top the table

Virat Kohli’s half-century proved to be a waste as Chennai Super Kings took down Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in the Indian Premier League. With the win, CSK tops the IPL table once more. A sandstorm at Sharjah had delayed the toss for a while but did not affect the match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Chennai won the toss and choose to bowl first, restricting RCB to 156 runs, Bangalore captain then hit a thundering 53 from 41 balls and even put up an opening partnership of 111 with Devdutt Padikkal who posted 70 from 50 balls. But it was all downhill for RCB since as the rest of the batting lineup did not last against CSK’s seasoned bowlers, Dwayne Bravo clinched three for 24 doing the most damage. Chennai then successfully chased the target in 18.1 overs and levels on point with Delhi Capital.
