CSK becomes the first team to book a playoff spot

Chennai Super Kings overcame Sunrisers Hyderabad with a six-wicket win as they bulldozed into the playoff for the 11th time in the franchise history to be the first team to book a playoff berth in the Indian Premier League. CSK along with Dwayne Bravo destroyed Windies all-rounder Jason Holder proving why he is on the reserve list for the upcoming World Cup. CSK successfully chased down a target of 135 in 19 overs to get their hands on their ninth win of the season.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers on the other side has been eliminated from the IPL after their track record portrays an opposite story of CSK with 9 losses from 11 matches. Ruturaj Gaikwad and former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis laid the foundation for a win with their half-century opening stand. And later Rayudu and Dhoni carried the team towards a win.
