Chennai Super Kings finally get some tractions on the point table and move out of the winless side of the table with a win over Royal Challengers Bangalore. Faf du Plessis led side came into the match hoping to get their hands on an easy win as CSK maintained a four-match losing streak before coming into the match. But Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube’s third-wicket partnership turned out to be the turning point for CSK who scored 216 runs in the first inning setting up a huge target for RCB to chase later.
Early in their chase RCB lost Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Anuj Rawat cheaply, Glenn Maxwell saw some traction but Ravindra Jadeja dismissed him as well to ensure the defending champions finally got their first win of the tournament. Dube’s unbeaten knock of 95 off 46 balls and Uthappa 88 off 50 balls proved to be the winning factor for CSK
