CSK loses out in the low scoring thriller against MI

Daniel Sams’ three-wicket haul helped Mumbai Indians overpower Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. MI won the toss and sent CSK in to bat first, soon after their top order tumbled down facing seasoned MI pacers. CSK’s Devon Conway and Moeen Ali could not even knock a single run for the side before they fell to Daniel Sams.

Jasprit Bumrah made matters worse by clinching the wicket of Robin Uthappa and CSK was 5 for 3. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu also could not offer stability to the side and at last, the reins were handed over to MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube who put on a show and fought hard but CSK were soon bundled out at 97 in just 16 overs. Mumbai’s chase also went horrendously opener Ishan Kishan went cheaply and they lost more wickets to be 33/4 at one point. Ultimately Tilak Varma’s unbeaten 34 knocks pushed MI ahead and they wrapped up the chase within 14.5 overs.
