Cummins signals a shake-up in Australia following their WTC loss

After losing badly to South Africa in the World Test Championship final, Australia may change up their batting lineup. Captain Pat Cummins stated that a "reset" was required before three Test matches in the West Indies and a home Ashes series. Australia's top order, which has struggled since opener David Warner departed 17 months ago, has come under additional scrutiny following their five-wicket loss at Lord's on Saturday, despite taking a 74-run lead in the first innings.

Usman Khawaja's sixth opening partner since Warner stepped out was the out-of-form Marnus Labuschagne, and Cameron Green's three-man experiment failed. Khawaja, 38, is also being watched closely after continuing his poor run against speed with a score of zero and six. With Green scoring four runs in the first innings and departing for a duck in the second after only two balls, the new-look top three amassed 49 runs in the game.
