Even though the Indian side prevailed after successfully defending their 237-point total, South African batter David Miller gained many admirers with his valiant century that pushed the visitors' total close to the hosts' total. Miller's batting was of such high calibre that even Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli couldn't help but approach the South African and congratulate him for his effort.
Miller, who smashed 106 off just 47 balls, was unable to seal the Proteas' victory. But his at-bats did impress Indian legends Rohit and Kohli, who approached the middle-order batsman to congratulate him on his performance. With a daunting mark of 238 runs to chase, South Africa didn't have a good start. Temba Bavuma, the Proteas captain, and Rilee Rossouw were both out in the second over thanks to Arshdeep Singh. Quiniton de Kock and Miller both had undefeated records, but their contributions were sufficient to keep South Africa in the game.
