David Warner is to skip the India tour; Cameron Green will take his place

The three-match T20I series against India, which starts on September 20, will not feature Australia's renowned opener, David Warner. Prior to coming home, Australia will visit India to play matches against the West Indies, England, and India. David Warner will not participate in the India tour "as part of a planned time of preparation for a full summer schedule," despite being named to the Australia team for the ICC competition later this year. For the India tour, Warner has been replaced by Cameron Green.

The first T20I will be played in Mohali on September 20, with the second and third games taking place in Nagpur and Hyderabad, respectively, on September 23 and 25. In recent ODI matches against Zimbabwe, Warner scored 57 and 13 in his two innings. Warner returned to the Big Bash League earlier this month after a nine-year sabbatical by signing a two-year contract with Sydney Thunder.
