Chennai Super Kings’ veteran player Dwayne Bravo scalped the wicket of Lucknow Super Giants batter Deepak Hooda in the last second over of the match to leapfrog Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga as the Indian Premier League’s highest wicket-taker.
The all-rounder was already tied with Malinga for the leader spot with 170 wickets and finally broke the former Mumbai Indians' bowler's record by adding his 171st victim in 153 IPL matches. Bravo would have achieved the feat earlier during the match itself but Moeen Ali dropped an important Quinton de Kock’s catch. In the all-time wicket-taker list, Bravo and Malinga enjoy a good lead and have Amit Mishra, Piyush Chawla and Harbhajan Singh following.
