James Anderson was extremely happy after England defeated Pakistan in the 1st Test, quoting: "It was a monumental effort." England beat Pakistan by 74 runs in the first game of the three-match Test series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The second Test will take place from December 9 onwards.
Heading into the last day, all three outcomes were on the cards. In the last session of the Test match, even as England needed five wickets to seal the deal, Pakistan had to bag 86 runs to move past the finish line. Nonetheless, Anderson had an idea as he chalked up four wickets and assisted England bowl Pakistan out for 268 in the fourth innings. Anderson confessed that the pitch wasn’t an easy one for bowlers by any expanse of the imagination.
