England calls for victory against Pakistan at Lord's

In the second ODI, England made 247 all out against Pakistan. Around 25,000 people gathered at Lord's to witness the amazing performance. Pakistan fought harder than in the first match, but a 52-run triumph by the SOS side built quickly in midweek owing to a large Covid breach in the camp gave England a third straight white-ball series win this summer.

Dawid Malan and Zak Crawley had helped England demolish the tourists by nine wickets with 169 deliveries unused, but both perished without scoring at the opening of a rain-delayed second match to put England's bench strength to the test. Moreover, Hasan Ali made a significant contribution in taking England's middle order, taking Ben Stokes' wicket. Opener Phil Salt impressively made 60 runs and came through.
