England could not save themselves from another embarrassing defeat as Australia ended the third Ashes test early and won by an inning and 14 runs. England was ill-equipped for the third test as they faced Australia and they took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match test series with three back-to-back wins.
Joe Root’s side has lost 12 of their 13 Tests against Australia and the side then set a new record for the most Tests lost in a year. Australia’s debutant paceman Scott Boland enjoyed a great debut with a devastating six-wicket haul as England’s seasoned batsmen fell one by one. Mitchell Starc and Boland won the series within 90 minutes in Melbourne. Both sides would meet for the final two tests in Sydney and Brisbane.
