England released a new 18-man ODI squad for Pakistan

England was forced to release a new squad for its ODI series with Pakistan after the COVID-19 outbreak forced the original squad to stay in isolation after England's three players, as well as four staff members, tested positive. The first ODI match against Pakistan is due to start on 8th June and the new squad would be captained by Ben Stokes. The all-rounder was testing his fitness in the country cricket after he broke his finger in the Indian Premier League.

Other than Stokes they would be depending on players who have been in the cold for a while and also include six completely uncapped players. The squad includes Danny Briggs, who played for England in 2014 last time, also David Payne, John Simpson, Tom Helm, Will Jacks, Phil Salt, and Brydon Carse who haven't played in any format as well as Zak Crawley and Dan Lawrence who haven't made their white-ball debuts yet.
