Men’s Ashes is set to take place in Australia on the 8th of December after the T20 World Cup. While the whole series was considered uncertain as many concerns were raised like bubble fatigue and the strict travel restrictions that cast a shadow on the series. But after ECB gave its approval for the series and accompanied that with a 17-member squad which will be captained by Joe Root.
In the squad we have big names Jimmy Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, and Rory Burns. Stuart Broad of Nottinghamshire has also been selected as he would make a comeback to the main stage after being sidelined due to a calf injury. Jofra Archer and Sam Curran would miss the Ashes series as they both remain injured. All-rounder Ben Stokes is also another big name missing from the squad as he still recovers slowly from the finger fracture.
