In the Super 8 match at St. Lucia as part of the T20 World Cup 2024, the South African team defeated the reigning champions England by 7 runs thanks to a brilliant showing with the ball.

Both innings saw impressive performances from South Africa, with players like Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada dominating with the ball and Quinton de Kock and David Miller with the bat in a highly heated match that went down to the very last over. Because Rabada and Maharaj were so good at getting rid of England’s opening batsmen cheaply, they struggled throughout the match. Jos Buttler and Phil Salt failed to get off to a quick start.
