England’s Duckett is fit to play in the Champions Trophy

During England's humiliating 142-run defeat to India in the third ODI on Wednesday in Ahmedabad, Ben Duckett experienced an issue with his left groin. The 30-year-old's availability for the Champions Trophy, which begins in Pakistan next week and includes the eight top-ranked ODI teams that qualified from the 2023 50-over World Cup, was called into question due to his injury.

However, after a scan, the left-hander has been cleared, according to a statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board. During the first innings of England's third ODI loss to India in Ahmedabad last Wednesday, Duckett suffered the injury while fielding. After all-rounder Jacob Bethell was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, England will travel to Pakistan on Tuesday and start their Champions Trophy campaign against their oldest rivals, Australia, in Lahore on Saturday. Tom Banton will take his place.
