England's captain Eoin Morgan would be retiring from the international cricket soon with the official announcement from the England and Wales Cricket Board yet to be made. The captain helped team England to the 50-over World Cup back in 2019 and under his guidance, England cricket team stayed at the top of the one-day and Twenty20 rankings as well.
But eventually, the 35-year-old Dublin-born player lost his form and even faced certain fitness issues later down the years. During the recent Netherlands ODI series the batter was twice out for nought and then did not feature in the third match for the side stating a groin issue. When Morgan does gives up his role in international cricket, England might look up to vice-captain Jos Buttler to take his place as the new white-ball skipper. The player does enjoy the status of being England's leading run-scorer of all time in ODI and T20 cricket format with 6,957 and 2,458 runs respectively.
