Finn Allen, a daring batsman from New Zealand, set several records in the first match of Major League Cricket 2025, a franchise-based Twenty20 league in the US. Allen went crazy and scored 151 runs off of only 51 balls while playing for the San Francisco Unicorns versus the Washington Freedom at the Oakland Coliseum on Friday. He had a strike rate of more than 296 during his innings. During the amazing knock, which was nothing short of a nightmare for the Washington Freedom bowlers, the batter hit five fours and nineteen sixes.
Allen smashed the T20 cricket record for the quickest 150 during the knock. It took him 49 balls to attain the milestone. The right-handed batsman hit his century in 34 balls, making it the fastest in the history of the event and the fastest by a Kiwi batsman in T20 cricket.
