Rahul Dravid released a statement that confirmed fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has not yet made a complete recovery from the hamstring injury that saw him leave the second test match and not return to the field. His availability for the final test match in Cape Town from January 11, is currently doubtful. He would have to undergo physio and over the next four days, the team would have a final answer.
Commenting on Hanuma Vihari’s hit, Dravid could not say much except for the fact that the extent of his injury is still unknown, and only after a thorough examination could his date of return be discussed. He also defended the decision to select Ravichandran Ashwin later in the match after he drew a lot of flak during the last match.
