Gautam Gambhir makes an argument using Virat Kohli And Bhuvneshwar Kumar as examples and says "Hero Worship" in Indian cricket must end. He mentions Kohli attained his maiden T20I century, which also counted as his first in international cricket in nearly three years. The century was applauded by everyone and it stole all the limelight. Therefore, as a result, Bhuvneshwar Kumar's stunning five-wicket haul went totally unnoticed.
"When Kohli got a 100 and there was this young guy from a small town of Meerut (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) who also managed to get five wickets, no one even bothered to speak about him. This was so unfortunate. He bowled four overs and got five wickets and I don't think anyone knows about that. But Kohli scores a 100 and there are celebrations everywhere in this country. India needs to come out of this hero worship," commented Gambhir.
