Ajinkya Rahane, India captain narrated the squad's performance on Day 5 of the Sydney Test in an exquisite manner. He described it as bruised, broken but never short of character.
India was not given a chance after they set a target of 407 on a wearing Sydney wicket. India scored 98 points for 2 at Stumps on Sunday. Moreover, it was not sure how much of an impact Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja would have. It was because the two players took unpleasant blows. Jadeja suffered a broken thumb. And, Rishabh Pant was in serious pain over the last 2 days.
However, India, once again, rallied against all the difficulties. They finally managed to clinch a fighting draw. They were able to bat out 131 overs in the last innings against Australia. Australia threw everything in India. Let it be bouncers to banters!! But, it was not enough to break the zeal of the Indian players.
