Heat get hold of Fakhar Zaman for three matches

Brisbane Heat has managed to get the signature of Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman to play in Big Bash League for three matches in January as their deal with an injury to English cricketer Tom Abell. Fakhar would be part of Heat’s lineup that would take on Melbourne Renegades on Jan 6. Abell suffered a knee injury and has been ruled out of the league after damaging his lateral ligament.

While the Zaman deal may have been signed for a short-term coach Wade Seccombe hopes to add the player into the squad for the remainder of the competition. Pakistan’s left-handed batter has played 64 T20 Internationals, 53 ODIs, and three Tests and is well known for his double century in an ODI and in the same tournament against Zimbabwe and now would take part in Australia’s biggest domestic tournament as fifth-placed Heat make a play for the title.
