Bangladesh took out South Africa in the ODI series by 2-1, by ending the deciding match in their favour and securing a historic win. Bangladesh first bowled out South Africa at just 154 runs then with a better batting performance reached 156 runs at the loss of just one wicket in 26.3 overs.
This was the team’s first-ever win at a one day series at Centurion Park in Pretoria, South Africa. The Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal’s unbeaten knock of 87 helped the team with the historic win at SuperSport Park as well as Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed’s 5-35 scoreline that left South Africa team on crutches. Tamim and Litton Das’s opening partnership of 127 runs further fueled Bangladesh to win the series easily.
