India came very close to beating South Africa, with this win India would definitely be in the semi-finals. In the final over Deepti Sharma managed to get the wicket of Mignon du Preez but that ball turned out to be a no-ball and an extra run helped South Africa to defeat India. Earlier Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandana gave India a flying start both scored half-century a later Mithali Raj also scored a half-century. India scored 274 runs on the board for a loss of 7 seven wickets in 50 overs. South Africa chased down the total with the help of Laura who scored 80 runs of 79 balls and a match-winning 52 not-out score from Mignon du Preez.
