Fast bowler Naseem Shah, who excelled in the recently finished Asia Cup, has been lauded by Pakistan bowling coach Shaun Tait. The 19-year-old player more than held his own during the competition and saved Pakistan in tense games against India and Afghanistan. One of the sport's fastest bowlers, Tait, claimed that Naseem was free-spirited and that his skills were similar to his own.
In order to prepare for the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will like to get past its Asia Cup defeat against Sri Lanka. Expectations will be high from the semifinalists from the last event, who may stand a decent chance in Australia because of their abundance of speed bowlers. Before the T20 World Cup, which is slated to take place in October and November, the hosts compete in a tri-series against Bangladesh and New Zealand.
