With an incredible nine-wicket victory in the third game on Friday night in Auckland, Pakistan has maintained its T20 series against the Black Caps. The Pakistani team arrived at Eden Park with far more determination and grit than New Zealand, who won the opening two games in Christchurch and Dunedin with ease. With captain Michael Bracewell hitting 31 and Mark Chapman easily leading the Kiwi batsmen with 94 off 44 overs, they held the Black Caps to 204 from 19.5 overs.
With four overs remaining, Pakistan easily won thanks to a spectacular batting showing by twenty-two-year-old Hasan Nawaz, who hit his first T20 international century in just his third appearance. Hasan (105 not out) received great support from Mohammad Haris (41) and captain Salman Ali Agha (51 not out) as the Black Caps bowlers were unable to stop the run-flow. The series still has two games left, with the next one taking place on Sunday at Tauranga's Bay Oval.
