The last match of the five-match test series was canceled just a few hours before the match was due to start after a number of Indian staff tested positive for Covid-19. Board of Control for Cricket in India is now holding talks with England and Wales Cricket to fit in the last match of the series into the schedule.
India currently enjoys a 2-1 lead in the Test series. The outbreak has forced both sides to call off the Old Trafford Test Match as the safety of the players and staff is the topmost priority for both sides. Indian coach Ravi Shastri along with a few of the staff members had tested positive before the fourth test match later a lot more members had contracted the virus.
