India claimed a 7-wicket win, seal the series against New Zealand

India beat New Zealand by seven wickets in the second T20I at Ranchi. New Zealand, started off well in the first inning but could oversee just 153/6 in the assigned 20 overs. Later in the chase Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul consistently stood tall against Black Caps seasoned bowlers to lay down a foundation for a win with 120 runs between them. Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell first scored 31 runs each Mark Chapman then hit a powerful knock to take the team to 64/1 in the powerplay only to fall later.

For the Men dressed in Blue, KL Rahul got the ball rolling with a four off Tim Southee then went on to post six fours and two sixes, in 65 (47) knock and Rohit also pushed for a half-century then Rishabh Pant polished the game off clinically with two consecutive sixes and seal the series for India. The third and last T20I of the series will be held in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
