India defeated the United States by seven wickets

After shocking Pakistan last week, India defeated the United States by seven wickets thanks to a half-century from Suryakumar Yadav. India advanced to the Super 8 round with the victory. If the US defeats Ireland on Friday, they can go forward.

Yadvav scored 50 runs off of 49 balls, including two sixes and two boundaries. In an undefeated fourth-wicket partnership with Shivam Dube, who struck 31 not out, he put on 72 runs off 65 balls as India concluded with 111-3 in 18.2 overs in response to the United States' 110-8. After India won the toss and chose to play at the Nassau County International Stadium, left-arm bowler Arshdeep Singh took 4-9 in four overs to restrict the co-hosts. Later on Wednesday in Trinidad, the co-hosts of the event were in action when New Zealand won the toss and put the West Indies in to bat.
