Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up three wickets apiece to ensure a win in the last Super 12s match of the tournament. India signed off their T20 World Cup campaign with a nine wickets win over Namibia, as despite the win the two heavy losses they suffered at the start of the Super 12s stage doomed them for good. The Pre-tournament favorites first restricted Namibia to 132-8 in 20 overs with David Wiese leading the team with his knock of 26 from 25 balls before Jasprit Bumrah did him in.
The Spin pair of Ashwin and Jadeja then did most of the heavy lifting in limiting the team to a lower total in their last match. India’s openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma then reached their half-century with aplomb and helped them reach the target early.
