India enjoys a good lead in Test 1 against South Africa

The Boxing Day Test match between India and South Africa continues in Centurion on Tuesday after the second day was washed away in rain. South Africa trails by 199 runs while India who had posted a score of 327 has been able to curtain the other side at 128 for five while they saw Jasprit Bumrah limp off the field with a twisted ankle. Bumrah did dismiss Dean Elgar before his injury to help the side.

India saw a big contribution by KL Rahul who put 123 runs on the scoreboard and Mayank Agarwal’s knock of 60 and Ajinkya Rahane’s 48 helped the visitors to a good start in the first test match against South Africa. The Hosts then relied on Lungi Ngidi and Kagiso Rabada to dismiss the team, Ngidi grabbed his career's second six-wicket haul and Rabada scalped three wickets to limit team India earlier.
