India stays in form to claim their third whitewash against Sri Lanka

India secured another whitewash against Sri Lanka to add to their commanding tally in the shortest format. Iyer and company first restricted the visitors to 146 runs as Mohammed Siraj, Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi kept up the pressure took out the starting batting order cheaply. Dinesh Chandimal and Dasun Shanaka offered some resistance and gave the sinking ship some stability and together posted 31 runs.

Shanaka stayed put knocking 74 runs from just 38 balls to put up a decent score to defend. Later Lankan bowlers sent Rohit Sharma and Sanju Samson packing early. But a determined Shreyas Iyer, who found an anchor in Deepak Hooda, posted an unbeaten knock of 73 runs from 45 balls to help team India with their third consecutive series.
