India first bowled out England on Day 1 at 205 and took the charge themselves and to answer to Ben Stokes-led fightback, Rishabh Pant hits a century on 115 balls to further dampen England’s chances to win the test 4. India was heading towards trouble when England had held India to 146-6 until Pant was called who then hit a quick 101 runs to save India and close the day on 294-7 and 89 runs in lead.
For Pant this was his third Test hundred and against England it was his second. Pant's century came with 113- run partnership with Washington Sundar. Ben Stokes 2-73 had given England some hope at the start after their first inning blunder but India remains resilient to enter WTC final in June.
