India vs England: India needs 157 more to clinch the victory

On day four of the first Test, England scored 303 in their second innings, setting India a goal of 209 runs. Joe Root (109) batted first and scored his 21st Test century. Jasprit Bumrah took a five-wicket haul for India. Despite losing KL Rahul for 26 runs, India got off to a fantastic start in the run chase. With nine wickets in hand, India needs 157 more runs on Day 5.

Cheteshwar Pujara hits three boundaries in the final over of the day and has a strike rate of more than 90 percent. Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, has played two pull shots thus far and has kept both of them down. India has passed the 50-run barrier and appears to be on track to chase down the target of 209 on Day 5 unless English seamers pull off a heist.
