Indian bowlers were overpowered by the English on Day 2

Day 2 of the Test series against India was a pro play by England leading the Men in Blue by a massive 345 runs. After lousy first innings on Day 1 where India was all out for 78, England was rather spectacular with Malan, hitting a splendid 70 and adding 139 runs for the third wicket with skipper Joe Root on his debut test making a 423 for 8 at stumps on day two for the team.

Indian bowlers though gave their best was not enough to take down the home team batsmen for low on Thursday. Indian pacer Ishant Sharma returned wicketless after bowling 22 overs struggling with the proper pace and the rest were dominated by Root, who put England in total control of the third Test leading the front with a hattrick of centuries. His excellent 121 totaled his sixth century for the year as the 33-year-old proved a great asset to the English men.
