The second phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 is about to kick off in UAE, with the opening match of Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians match. But unfortunately, before the start of the game itself, CSK has been handed an injury blow as one of their regular opener Faf Du Plessis suffered a groin injury in the Caribbean Premier League.
Faf is serving as the captain of St. Lucia Kings in the South African league but was forced to sit back and watch Andre Fletcher take over for him before the Barbados Royals’ match. Faf had scored an unbeaten century in the last match itself but the injury casts a shadow on whether he would be available for CSK in the upcoming IPL match.
