IPL 2021 auction list is out

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 mini-auction is set to take place on 18th February 2021 and the list of players going under the hammer is out, 292 players would be available after 1114 cricketers registered for the auction, eight franchises thereafter shortlisted the players, and released the list. The cash-rich league would see Rs 2 crore as the highest reserve price set for eight of the players Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, Mark Wood, Harbhajan Singh, and Kedar Jadhav.

The auction list features 12 players whose base price is Rs 1.5 crore while 11 Indian players including Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav have a base price of Rs 1 crore. The list has a total of 164 Indian players while 125 are overseas and 3 from Associate Nations. This season Australian players Aaron Finch and Steve Smith have been released from their franchises and would be an interesting bid to watch.
