Shreyas Iyer’s ton in his debut Test match against New Zealand caught the attention of Mumbai Indias before the IPL 2022 mega auction. Iyer now finds himself in the auction pool and can go for a big amount as well. The 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League has concluded just a month ago with Chennai Super Kings adding another title to their Franchise record and IPL welcomes the idea of 10 teams. The eight sides can now retain just a maximum of four players.
As per the rumors, Delhi Capitals’ list might not include Shreyas Iyer for next season as DC plans to keep Rishabh Pant, Kagiso Rabada, Prithvi Shaw, and Axar Patel for next season. The 26-year-old is thus on MI’s list but Ahmedabad and Lucknow are allowed to pick three players from the list of non-retained players if any of the sides pick him Iyer would not be able to join MI.
