Playing their first match in the second phase of the Indian Premier League in UAE, Kolkata Knight Riders faced a determined Royal Challengers Bangalore on the other side. Soon after the match started KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy and Andre Russell showed off their skills clinching RCB’s important wickets one by one, to ultimately end their batting session early with an abysmal score of 92. Chakravarthy enjoyed a score of 3-13 while Russell was better with 3-9.
Kolkata Knight Riders then came on with bats in hand to end the match early on Monday as they recorded nine-wicket wins in IPL. Shubman Gill fell short of two points in posting a half-century while Iyer put up an undefeated 41 off 27 balls for another great win for KKR.
