IPL:Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson, both bowlers bought in for huge sums

Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson have become the newest million-dollar players in New Zealand cricket, after being purchased in the Indian Premier League big auction. Boult was the lone Kiwi in the auction's marquee group, and he was picked as the fifth player to receive offers from the 10 IPL franchises.

The Black Caps bowler was sold to the Rajasthan Royals for 8 crores after a bidding war between the Rajasthan Royals, the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Boult's former side, the Mumbai Indians. Ferguson was sold for 10 crores a few hours later, usurping him as New Zealand's highest earner. The Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow Super Giants also tried to raise Ferguson's price, but the Titans, a newcomer to the league, won the bidding for 10 crores, making Ferguson a multi-millionaire.
