Ireland names 15-member team for the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualifying matches

Ireland has unveiled a 15-member squad for the forthcoming Zimbabwe Cricket World Cup qualifier. Ten teams will play in the qualifying, which takes place from June 18 to July 9, for the remaining two spots in the 50-over championship in India this autumn. Ireland is in Group B with Scotland, Oman, Sri Lanka, and UAE and will be led by Andrew Balbirnie.

Josh Little, who has established a solid reputation in the world of franchise T20 cricket as a result of his exploits for Gujarat Titans in the IPL is one of Ireland's many speed options. PJ Moor, a wicketkeeper and batsman, is a member of the team and will travel back to Zimbabwe, where he represented his country from 2014 to 2019. In April 2023, he faced Bangladesh in his country's debut. Before beginning their qualifying campaign against Oman on June 19, Ireland will play two warm-up games against the United States and the Netherlands.
