Ireland to kick off the first of five T20Is against Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is all set to begin its tour of Ireland 2021 with a five-match T20I series, followed by three-match limited-overs series scheduled on Friday, August 27. The Clontarf Cricket Club, in Dublin, to host the first T20I encounter at 4:30 PM IST. Both the sides seeking redemption, given Ireland’s 0-3 defeat against South Africa last month and Bangladesh crushing Zimbabwe in the home ground, the match is worth anticipating.

Irish Neil Rock has caught attention making his first senior T20 internationals debut at Castle Avenue. With high hopes by Captain Andrew Balbirnie, the 20-year-old left-handed batsman will replace Lorcan Tucker behind the stumps with not much time left to the T20 World Cup in October. Curtis Campher is also set to play his first T20 International after 10 one-day international appearances. Captain Craig Ervine-led squad stronger than before is ready to give a tough fight to the home team.
