Jadeja’s ODI career still has a chance?

It appears like Ravindra Jadeja's white-ball cricket career has come to an end since the selectors want the all-round player fit for India's next Test series. The southpaw's future in the format was called into doubt after he was left out of the ODI team for the Sri Lanka series, following his retirement from T20Is following the T20 World Cup victory. Jadeja has been rested and is not being benched for the IND vs. SL series, according to ESPNCricinfo.

The article claims that Jadeja has received assurances from the selectors that he will be India's starting spin all-rounder. Axar Patel is also being given an opportunity by the selectors and head coach Gautam Gambhir to see whether he can repeat his T20I form in One-Day Internationals. They also want Jadeja to be available for all of the forthcoming Test matches, which include the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and a series against Bangladesh.
