James Vince’s 98 helps Sydney Sixers into BBL final

James Vince missed out on a BBL century by two runs but his brilliant not-out knock of 98 runs helps Sydney Sixers into the Big Bash final. He led Sixers to a 9-wicket victory over the Perth Scorchers while they were chasing 168 run target and won with three overs to spare. Daniel Hughes worked hard to give Vince a chance to complete his century but Scorchers bowler Andrew Tye’s went wide which essentially handed Sixers their victory.

Josh Philippe also complimented with 45 runs in 28 balls but was also denied a half-century. Hughes was not out with 21 runs in 21 balls giving every chance to Vince to complete his century laying waste to all the efforts by Josh Inglis. Sixers have now advanced to the final stage.
