Jasprit Bumrah has ended up missing the Asia Cup

The injury struggles of Jasprit Bumrah significantly reduced India's prospects of taking home two medals in 2022. He had been disqualified from the Asia Cup out of concern for the T20 World Cup later in the year, but he wound up hurting himself before to the main event. India didn't get to the championship game in either competition. In the T20 World Cup semifinals, Rohit Sharma's team was eliminated after losing to England by a score of 10 wickets.

Bumrah's back ailment, which he sustained before the T20 World Cup, has prevented him from playing since September of last year. He was supposed to return for India's ODI series against Sri Lanka, but he wound up getting hurt again and had to leave the team at the last minute. Bumrah was left off the team for the first two Test matches against Australia.
