England’s tour of Sri Lanka and India offers them a last chance to qualify for the World Test Championship final. Currently, they are fourth on the list after Australia, India and New Zealand, They were successful in their last three test series with South Africa, West Indies, and Pakistan but they need to earn more points to qualify for the finals which will take place at Lord’s in June.
Their schedule, for now, involves six Test matches and they have to try to win as many of them as possible. Though their competitors are in a better position right now, New Zealand if they beat Pakistan in the second test will surpass India to take second place, but India still has 6 Test matches in hand to gain points and is currently favored to reach the finals with Australia.
