Just a few days before the start of Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the visitors received a huge shift when they found out that Josh Hazlewood will no longer be a part of the 1st match scheduled to begin from 9th February in Nagpur, India. Further, it is added that, it’s doubtful if he will be joining for the 2nd match, set to be played in Delhi.
Last month, while bowling against South Africa, in a Sydney Test match, Hazlewood had an Achilles injury which he is yet to recover from, as confirmed from reports. This leads to his non-participation in the pre-series camp. He is now expected to roll his hands, not any time before 7th February. The absence of Hazlewood will mean the doors opening for Scott Boland, who might be expected to make maiden appearance in an Overseas Test match.
