Kolkata back to winning ways at Rajasthan’s expense 

Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana played an important role for Kolkata Knight Riders with their riveting fourth-wicket partnership of 66. KKR managed a seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League Monday, as they snapped the side from falling to their sixth consecutive defeat. Rajasthan posted a total of 152-5 and later chased it down with five balls to spare.

Rinku scored 42 off 23 balls including six fours and a six while Rana knocked 48 off 37 balls with three boundaries and two sixes. Kolkata stayed in control right from the start when they restricted Rajasthan from the start itself, Umesh Yadav took out Rajasthan opener Devdutt Padikkal at 2 and enjoyed a good 1-24 record in four overs. Tim Southee then clinched the wicket of Jos Buttler at 22 and took out Riyan Parag as well later. Sanju Samson also could not fire away and ended with 54 from 49 balls.
