Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 21 runs

On Wednesday, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by a score of 21 runs to go back on track in the IPL. RCB could only muster 179 for 8 in 20 overs while chasing 201 to win. Varun Chakravarthy led KKR with 3/27, while Suyash Sharma and Andre Russell both scored two. Virat Kohli made 54 runs off of 37 balls, including six fours, but his innings were ineffective since none of the other RCB batsmen could contribute or help his acting captain form partnerships.

While scoring 34 off 18 balls, adding 55 runs with Kohli for the fourth wicket, Mahipal Lomror played brilliantly. He hit three sixes and one four. Faf du Plessis (17) and Shahbaz Ahmed (2) were taken out by KKR's impact replacement Sharma during the powerplay, giving him a return total of 4-0-30-2. Russell took two for 29 after dismissing Kohli and Wanindu Hasaranga (5).
